TravelCenters of America is offering a selection of fitness, food and wellness options aimed guiding drivers toward a healthier lifestyle, the truck stop company announced.
TravelCenters is adding healthier food offerings, fitness options and helpful information from its StayFit program to encourage drivers to get fit and stay healthy. Drivers can find a variety of StayFit items and activities throughout the company’s network of travel centers.
Healthier Grab ‘N Go snacks like Vitamin Water, yogurt and Good2Go fresh fruit and veggie cups will be available as well as StayFit dining options on select full-service restaurant menus at participating TA and Petro locations.
“We’re committed and proud to help our customers manage their health and be an integral part of their solution to eating better and exercising while they are out on the road,” said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters.
StayFit exercise options include fitness rooms, walking and running trailers, basketball hoops and outdoor fitness areas at many locations – offered for free to customers. Many sites will also offer horseshoe and bean bag toss recreation options to allow drivers to get light exercise.
For drivers who prefer to work out in their cabs, a selection of fitness accessories like push-up bars, resistance bands, hand grips and workout gloves will be available from driver stores.
