Toyota Motor North America is building what it claims will be the world's first fuel cell power generation play and a hydrogen fueling station at the Port of Long Beach to support its operations, the company has announced.
The overall medium- and heavy-duty truck market is projected to continue its reliance on conventional diesel powertrain for the next decade, but hybrid and electric powertrains populations will increase, with volumes expected to grow from about 125,500 to 1.66 million from 2017 to 2027.
