Garmin has introduced the Dēzl DualView, a two-camera system designed to improve driver visibility along both sides of a commercial truck. The system provides a continuous live view in the cab and automatically records video during detected incidents.

The dual-camera setup is intended for over-the-road applications and integrates with compatible Garmin Dēzl OTR truck navigators, RV navigators, or paired tablets. Video is displayed in real time, allowing drivers to monitor blind spots and receive alerts when vehicles move alongside or into merging zones.

The system is designed to support driver awareness and provide recorded video when needed, according to the company.

System Capabilities and Features

The Dēzl DualView system includes two externally mounted cameras, a transmitter box, and mounting hardware. Key features include:

  • Live camera views down both sides of the truck, viewable in-cab on compatible devices

  • Visual alerts for vehicles entering blind spots or merging alongside the truck

  • Automatic incident detection with 1080p HD video recording

  • Video storage on a microSD card; optional cloud storage and sharing with a Vault subscription

  • IPX7-rated cameras designed to withstand weather, road debris, fuels, and pressure washing

  • Flush-mount installation on side mirrors or flat vehicle surfaces

  • Voice command support when paired with a dēzl OTR navigator, including access to saved video clips and overlay data such as speed, time, and location

When an incident is detected, video is automatically saved in HD format. Drivers can access recorded clips directly from the device or share them through the Garmin Drive mobile app when connected to Wi-Fi and enrolled in a Vault plan. Without a subscription, video remains accessible via the memory card.

Availability and Pricing for the Dezl DualView Camera System

The Dēzl DualView system is available now and includes two camera modules, a transmitter, and mounting hardware. Suggested retail pricing is $999.99. Additional accessories, such as memory cards, are sold separately.

Recording requires a compatible memory card. Use of camera systems may be regulated or restricted in certain jurisdictions.
