TIMCO CNG has opened a public-access compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Inglewood, Calif., near Los Angeles International Airport, announced Evergreen CNG Systems, which commissioned the facility.
The new station is located at 11144 S. La Cienega, near the I-405 and I-105 freeways. Evergreen provided the compression equipment and engineering assistance for the CNG station. TIMCO also operates a CNG station in Santa Ana, Calif., a quarter-mile from the I-5 freeway.
The new station has six nozzles on three dispensers. One hose offers a CT-5000 high-flow nozzle for heavy-duty vehicles, while Evergreen 300 hp compressors provide flow rates up to 810 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) with approximately 900 GGE (gasoline gallon equivalent)/hour peak supply, according to Evergreen. The station is unmanned and monitored remotely.
