  • A recognized safety management professional and C-level executive with a major nationwide truckload and dedicated carrier will share his experiences using data to accomplish such missions as developing a comprehensive driver orientation program and building a custom driver scorecard system.

  • A veteran trucking defense attorney and top lawyer for a software firm focused on preventing safety exposure will detail the overall industry perspective on how telematics and other data can be brought to bear to reduce a myriad of safety risks for fleets in a timely and efficient manner.

This HDT webinar will explore how properly collected, sorted, and analyzed data can inform managers on what safety matters to focus on, whether that’s developing meaningful driver scorecards and rewards programs or alerting drivers on the road of upcoming trouble spots or their own risky driving practices.

The Hudson, Illinois-based carrier has been named the Best Overall Fleet to Drive For (Large Carrier) for 2021, marking three consecutive years of earning this title. Stickling joined Nussbaum in 2007 in an accounting position and came up through the ranks, including stints heading up human resources and safety, to be named CAO in 2019. In 2015, he was honored with HDT’s Safety & Compliance Award.

Stickling’s safety accomplishments include developing a custom driver scorecard system, which turns the myriad data the fleet collects on factors influencing safety, fuel economy, and other factors, and turns it into something drivers and fleet managers can understand and use immediately.

The safety policies he oversees include drug and alcohol testing, behind the wheel training, ongoing classroom training, risk scoring and a safe driver rewards program.

Doug Marcello, Chief Legal Officer of Bluewire LLC and defense attorney with law firm Marcello & Kivisto

Marcello is an active trucking defense attorney with over 35 years of trial experience. He is specially admitted in 35 states and has the distinction of holding a CDL.
