Continental Tire Adds Size Extension to Regional Drive and Steer Tires
The Conti HDR 5 and Conti HSR 5 tires are now available in size 245/70R19.5, designed for urban and regional fleets in high-scrub environments

Continental Tires Americas now offers its HDR 5 and HSR 5 19.5” tires in size 245/70R19.5.
The size extension for both tires is designed to meet the needs of urban and regional fleets operating in high-scrub environments, where dependable performance in stop-and-go conditions is essential, according to Continental.
Both tires feature an improved tread compound for better mileage, a stronger sidewall for multiple retreads, and are compatible with electric vehicles.
Key Enhancements for Both Steer and Drive Tire
Updated Tread Compound: The tires feature a revised tread compound that improves rolling resistance and mileage compared to previous versions. These updates help support fuel efficiency and extended wear life.
Redesigned Sidewall: The sidewalls have been reengineered to better support multiple retread cycles, helping fleets get more out of each casing. It’s also built to withstand high-scrub environments such as urban delivery routes.
EV Compatible: Both tires come with an EV checkmark that means that the tire meets the special requirements of EV/hybrid vehicles as well as those powered by internal combustion engines.
Both the steer and drive tire have improved mileage from their predecessors, according to Continental.
