Retail sales in the United States posted their fourth straight monthly increase. The pace for July rose less than the previous month's increase, but sales are well ahead of the level from a year ago.

Twenty-five college students will receive scholarships from the Truckload Carriers Association’s Scholarship Fund for the 2013-14 academic year. Out of a grand total of approximately $75,000, the scholarships have been broken down into amounts ranging from $2,725 to $6,250.
