The Kenworth T680 now comes standard with the Jost JSK37USB fifth wheel, designed for simple and safe coupling.
The Jost fifth wheel only has four moving parts and has a simple mechanism that allows for infinite adjustments versus notched adjustments. Wear adjustment is maintained with a single adjustment screw.
The ability to perform maintenance and minor rebuilds on the Jost fifth wheel without removing it from the chassis can lower cost of ownership, according to Kenworth. The Jost fifth wheel features a low 60-pound pull force handle to make operation easier for drivers.
Jost offers a five-year warranty on all of its durable cast ductile iron top plates.
“We continue to add excellent products as standard equipment that further enhances the performance of the Kenworth T680,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director. “The JOST fifth wheel provides safety, durability, ease of maintenance, low cost of ownership, and weight savings that benefit our customers.”
