Windrose Technology is taking aim at one of the biggest barriers to fleet electrification -- charging cost and availability.

The electric truck OEM is now bundling three months of complimentary charging on Greenlane Infrastructure’s network with the purchase of its Global E700 Class 8 electric truck.

Reducing Electric Truck TCO

Under the new program, Windrose customers will receive unlimited charging for three months on Greenlane’s high-power charging network. They will also receive access to Greenlane’s Gold-level subscription services and 24/7 support.

Windrose said the offer is designed to help fleets reduce total cost of ownership (TCO). Additionally, the program will help fleets gain hands-on experience with electric truck operations without making an upfront investment in charging infrastructure.

Windrose said it has also negotiated preferred charging rates on Greenlane’s network for pilot programs, allowing fleets to test electric operations on major freight corridors before scaling deployments.

“We’re committed to making electric trucking accessible and cost-competitive for fleets,” said Wen Han, founder and CEO of Windrose Technology. “Vehicles are only half the equation. High-power, strategically located charging infrastructure is what enables fleets to deploy electric trucks at scale and at lower cost.”

Immediate Access to Freight-Centric Charging

Once activated through a dedicated onboarding portal, Windrose customers gain immediate access to Greenlane’s high-power chargers and its Greenlane Edge subscription platform.

The charging credit can be used across Greenlane’s developing network along key Western freight corridors, including I-10 between California and Arizona and I-15 connecting Southern California to Nevada.

Those corridors are among the first focus areas for Greenlane’s medium- and heavy-duty charging infrastructure buildout.

Patrick Macdonald-King, CEO of Greenlane, said the bundled approach helps remove uncertainty for fleets evaluating electric trucks.

“Total cost of entry is the biggest decision factor for fleet operators,” Macdonald-King said. “Integrating charging infrastructure directly into the vehicle purchase eliminates some of the guesswork and upfront costs that have historically slowed adoption.”

Validated in Long-Haul Testing

The charging incentive builds on recent long-haul pilot testing conducted by Windrose and Greenlane on the I-10 corridor between Colton, Calif., and Phoenix, as well as on I-15 between Southern California and Las Vegas.

During those tests, Windrose’s Global E700 demonstrated a peak charging rate of 772 kW on Greenlane’s network and achieved nearly 300 miles of real-world range in regular operation.

In additional testing, the truck exceeded 400 miles of range on a single charge while hauling a near-maximum payload of approximately 74,000 pounds.

Windrose said the truck completed each corridor route on a single charge, validating that the combination of the Global E700 and Greenlane’s high-power chargers can support practical electric freight operations on those lanes as additional charging sites come online in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

Lowering Barriers to Electric Adoption

For fleets, charging access and utilization cost remain major considerations when comparing electric trucks to diesel equipment. By bundling charging with the vehicle purchase, Windrose is attempting to narrow the operational and financial gap that has slowed broader Class 8 electric adoption.

The company said the program is intended to give fleets a “day-one” operational solution -- vehicle, charging access, and support -- rather than requiring customers to coordinate separate infrastructure projects before deploying electric trucks.

The complimentary charging offer is now available to qualified U.S. customers purchasing the Windrose Global E700.
