Lytx has introduced Coach Assist, an AI-powered feature designed to help fleet safety coaches deliver quicker, more focused feedback to drivers. The tool marks Lytx’s first integration of generative AI within its Driver Safety Program.

Streamlining the Driver Coaching Process

Coach Assist compiles driver strengths, improvement areas, and peer comparisons into bullet points and simple visuals. By automating the prep work, the tool is intended to allow safety coaches to spend more time on direct driver communication.

“Coach Assist helps coaches deliver more consistent sessions while reducing prep time,” said Chris Cabrera, CEO at Lytx. “AI can handle routine tasks so coaches can focus on the conversations that matter.”

The tool is currently in use by select Lytx Lab participants, who have reported cutting session preparation time by about 50% while increasing driver engagement.

It is one of several ongoing initiatives within Lytx Lab aimed at automating administrative tasks and adding intelligence to fleet safety workflows.

Part of Broader AI Development

Coach Assist is being developed alongside other early-stage AI tools in Lytx Lab, including Top Risky Intersections and Roadwork Detection.

Each project is created with customer input to address practical safety challenges and refine the features before wider release.

Lytx plans to make Coach Assist available to all customers in mid-2026.
