More than 15,000 Mack trucks, mostly Mack MD models, have been recalled for an improperly welded seat belt anchor.
More than 4,000 Autocar trucks are being recalled because of an improperly secured steering wheel nut, which could cause it to separate from the steering column.
Mack Trucks is recalling 15,841 trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. An estimated 26% are expected to have the defect. The vast majority of trucks in the recall are Mack MDs.

MD Electric, 2024, manufactured Jun 22, 2023 - Dec 12, 2023
Dealers will install a reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 5, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0485.
Autocar is recalling 4,687 trucks; about 4% are estimated to have a steering wheel that's not properly secured.

Autocar will inspect and secure the steering wheel nut as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 28, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's numbers for this recall are ACX-2504 and DC-2506.
