Noregon announced an update to its flagship JPro diagnostic software that includes a pre-scan to detect issues potentially affecting compliance with California Air Resources Board’s Clean Truck Check regulation.

The update also includes substantial new coverage for a wide range of vehicles and off-highway equipment.

CARB’s Clean Truck Check rule requires nearly all heavy-duty vehicles that travel in California to pass emissions inspections using software like Noregon’s Truck Check Up. The pre-scan feature in JPro identifies issues that could cause a failed inspection, allowing for proactive repairs, saving time and money associated with failed inspections.

These results are available from JPro’s Road Worthiness feature, which assesses if a vehicle is ready for operation.

“One critical step to avoid a breakdown is to perform a pre-trip diagnostic scan, then address any problems before they have a chance to fester,” said Jason Hedman, Noregon product manager, in a news release.

“Road Worthiness simplifies this process by helping technicians identify issues that need attention before they potentially result in safety malfunctions, fines, or failed inspections.”

Coverage for Non-Highway Equipment

Users will also get coverage for more than 100 new off-highway OEs and 1,000 new equipment models. Support includes major manufacturers like Deutz, John Deere, Kubota, and Volvo CE.

“We strive for technicians to use JPro on every vehicle or piece of equipment they encounter, so we put significant efforts into bolstering off-highway coverage in this release,” Hedman added.

“Not only do our municipality and mixed fleet customers benefit, but small shops across the country have communities that rely on them to repair their trucks and equipment, so we take pride in helping to make that happen.”

On-highway coverage updates include bi-directional tests and support for medium- and heavy-duty manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Detroit, Paccar, and more.
