Each year, HDT’s editors put out a call for nominations and fleet submissions to be considered for HDT Top Green Fleet honors. We comb through those submissions and look at factors such as:

  • Adoption of alternative fuels such as natural gas and renewable fuels

  • Using zero-emission trucks such as battery-electric or hydrogen fuel cell

  • Industry-leading fuel economy

  • Freight-efficiency strategies

  • Leading-edge “green” facilities

  • Sustainability goals

  • Willingness to share their experience with others

Special attention is given to initiatives in the past year and to plans for the coming year.
