Webb, which recently acquired the Stemco Trifecta pre-adjusted hub program, is introducing the UltraSet as its replacement pre-assembled hub for on-highway truck and trailer and off-highway/severe-duty truck and trailer applications.

Webb Wheel initially partnered with Stemco to launch Trifecta in 2018. When it announced the acquisition, Webb said it will continue production of the Trifecta line as it is manufactured today, using Stemco products to ensure efficiencies across the production process.

At the time of its introduction, HDT's Jim Park wrote that this technology "could revolutionize wheel installation. Its eye-popping simplicity has left technicians slack-jawed in surprise with its simplicity and ease of installation."

Due to circumstances beyond Webb’s control, the launch of this program has been postponed.

When Can I Order Webb's New UltraSet Wheel Hubs?

The UltraSet hubs will now be available from the Webb Aftermarket Business Unit for replacement demand on the following schedule:

  • Webb will begin accepting orders on May 15, 2024

  • Webb will ship product to customers tentatively by late May or early June.

UltraSet will be a complete pre-adjusted hub assembly ready to install with a simple torque-down procedure and requiring no additional bearing adjustment.

Fleets can specify the Webb UltraSet hubs when choosing wheel-end components for new equipment or when purchasing replacement components from aftermarket suppliers.

Webb Wheel Products, headquartered in Cullman, Alabama, manufactures hubs, brake drums, calipers, brake pads, and rotors for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses. Webb Wheel is a Marmon Transportation/Berkshire Hathaway company.
