Air-Weigh announced that Daimler Truck North America Custom Truck Services/PDI has expanded the installation of Air-Weigh LoadMaxx onboard scales to include more suspension types and vehicle applications.

"This is a great partnership that now allows end users and dealers in the severe service/heavy haul and medium-duty market that use spring/mechanical suspensions to get an on-board scale solution on their new Freightliner or Western Star Truck directly from Daimler Truck North America," said Gordon Virginski, director of business development for Air-Weigh, in a release.

"We already have many sales data codes established for Air-Weigh’s LoadMaxx," said Michael Self, North American sales and marketing manager for Air-Weigh. “But if you are spec’ing out a Freightliner or Western Star model and there is not an Air-Weigh scale option available in Daimler Truck SpecPro, then Custom Truck Services/PDI is capable of including Air-Weigh’s LoadMaxx scale for these models. Just reach out to us for a special quote."

In other Daimler news, the company is testing a fully hydrogen truck. The GenH2 Truck prototype has liquid hydrogen tanks. It was displayed at the IAA Transportation 2022.
