Yokohama Tire’s new BluEarth 718L premium drive tire, engineered to drive fleets further on less fuel, is now on sale. The Smartway-verified 718L is available in four major sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5, and offers a 7-year unlimited retread casing warranty.
“The 718L is built for maximum fuel efficiency and durability to meet fleets’ long-haul demands,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial product planning. “It boasts an advanced compound and newly developed tread pattern that aid in the reduction of rolling resistance, combats irregular wear and enhances traction to keep fleets running longer and more efficiently.”
Benefits of the BluEarth 718L include:
Engineered for efficiency: The connected tread stabilizes the tread blocks, resisting heel-to-toe wear. Plus, the contoured groove wall adds stiffness to reduce irregular wear and resist stone drilling, which extends the life of the tire.
Reduced rolling resistance: Sloped narrow grooves support groove base stabilization while maintaining both wet and dry traction, which results in reduced rolling resistance.
Enhanced traction: Deeper lug-grooves at the middle tread area give longer-lasting traction throughout the life of the tire.
Longer tread life: Shallow shoulder lug-grooves provide stiffness within the shoulder blocks, preventing irregular shoulder wear.
