Toyo Tire has announced a size expansion for its Toyo M655TM Power Line tires. The new offering includes a new 22.5- and 24.5-inch medium truck drive tire sizes.
This move further broadens Toyo Tire’s M655 commercial tire applications, the company said. These currently include both a 19.5-inch medium truck size suitable for drive and steer applications, and 17- and 18-inch sizes for light truck applications.
Toyo said the expanded offering is an all-encompassing solution for demanding conditions is built to provide confident traction under heavy load year-round.
Optimal Snow and Ice Performance
The M655 is an all-weather, on-/off-road commercial tire with durable construction for local and regional operations.
Toyo said it features a wide, aggressive tread design delivers optimal traction under heavy load on uneven and varying terrain while a specially designed tread and compound reduces irregular wear, protecting the tire from stone damage for maximum removal miles.
Including the newly added size expansion, all M655 sizes carry the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMS) designation to perform in snow and ice for true year-round reliability.
With 17- and 18-inch sizes for light-duty trucks, and 19.5-, 22.5-, and 24.5-inch sizes for medium-duty trucks, the M655 power line is a single-stocking solution for fleets servicing the construction, energy, forestry, and mining industries.
“Expanding the M655 lineup with the addition of these new medium truck drive tire sizes strengthens its offerings and provides a great solution for mixed-service fleets,” said David Demo, product manager of commercial truck tires, Toyo Tire. “Toyo continues to evolve alongside the commercial tire market and the M655 exemplifies a tire built to withstand the rigorous demands of the industry.”
The new M655 on-/off-road commercial tire expansion includes 19.5-, 22.5-, and 24.5-inch sizes in six sizes, three of which are available now (265/70R19.5 G/14, 11R22.5 H/16, and 11R24.5 H/16) and three that will be available later this year (285/70R19.5 H/16, 295/75R22.5 H/16, and 285/75R24.5 G/14).
