Windshield Wiper Failure Leads to International Truck Recall

An inoperative right-side windshield wiper may reduce visibility in certain driving conditions, which may increase the risk of a crash.

International is recalling nearly 15,000 trucks for a potential windshield wiper failure.

The recall affects 14,786 2025-2026 International HV, HX, LT, MV, and RH vehicles. The linkage that connects the right-side wiper arm to the motor may separate, causing the wipers to fail.

The suspect population includes:

  • HV series built Nov. 11, 2024 through April 9, 2025.

  • RH series built Nov. 11, 2024 thru March 28, 2025.

  • HX, LT and MV series built Nov. 11, 2024 thru April 8, 2025.

The wiper modules were made by Trico Products Inc.

Dealers will replace the wiper module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 23, 2025.
