Phillips Industries has opened a new distribution facility near Cincinnati intended to streamline aftermarket parts fulfillment and place inventory closer to customers.
The 67,000-square-foot facility is located near Interstates 75, 71, and 275 and is now shipping aftermarket trucking products to customers nationwide. Phillips said the site is aimed at improving delivery consistency and supporting customer demand.
Distribution And Inventory Strategy
Phillips said the facility is part of a longer-term plan to centralize North American distribution and reduce variability in delivery timelines.
Inventory at the facility is managed through the company’s enterprise resource planning system using a dynamic stocking strategy based on market conditions and customer needs. Phillips said the facility is designed to deliver stocked items within five business days.
“It’s all about shrinking the time from order to receipt,” said Rob Phillips, CEO of Phillips Industries. “Our customers work hard to manage their cash. By helping them place smaller orders and receive parts just a few days later, we’re making it easier than ever to do business with Phillips.”
