After developing an internal bid automation and intelligence platform it's been using successfully to win more profitable freight and optimize its networks, Nussbaum Transportation has launched a sister company to offer it to the rest of the industry.
The new Nussbaum Technology LLC announced it's in carrier testing of BidRight, originally developed by Nussbaum Transportation to boost efficiency in its own pricing department. The company said it has been able to bid 20 times faster and maintain rates 5% above market for 10 consecutive quarters.

Carriers can import and standardize RFPs, manage bids, and collaborate seamlessly in one platform. Embedded market data and profitability analysis allow fleets to run “what-if” scenarios before committing.
Tyler Dietrich, who led the original development, now serves as president of Nussbaum Technology. Dietrich was named a 2024 HDT Emerging Leader.
What Can BidRight Do For Trucking Fleets?
BidRight’s core capabilities include:
Bid Management: Users can quickly import RFPs (requests for proposals) into a standardized format and organize/track bid projects in one centralized platform.
Workflow Collaboration: Users can easily review progress, assignments, and comments from team members. They can also flag important issues for upcoming meetings.
Pricing Intelligence: Market data, network and profitability analysis, past decisions, and other key variables are embedded directly in the workflow.
Award Review: Carriers can evaluate awarded lanes and quickly identify unprofitable freight.

With FreightMath’s metrics embedded directly in BidRight’s workflow, fleets can evaluate rate competitiveness and operational impact, running “what-if” scenarios to predict how each opportunity affects network density, asset utilization, and total profitability before committing.
“The industry needs a tool built by a carrier to address real pricing issues,” said Dietrich in a news release.
“BidRight’s tools and FreightMath’s profitability engine are aligned and highly complementary, offering a complete solution. I’m looking forward to what it can do for more carriers.”
