DAT Freight & Analytics has introduced a new iPhone widget designed to help owner-operators quickly identify high-paying freight opportunities without opening a load board app.

The newly introduced DAT One iOS widget displays load matches directly on a user’s home screen and refreshes automatically. It allows carriers to react more quickly to changing spot-market conditions, according to the company.

The feature builds on the capabilities of the DAT One mobile platform, which combines load-board access with tools for trip planning, fuel prices, parking information, broker vetting, and payment services.

Top-Paying Loads at a Glance

The widget shows the three loads with the highest rate per mile based on the user’s most recent search within the DAT One app. By displaying results on the home screen, DAT said the tool helps carriers capitalize on real-time rate trends in a fast-moving freight market.

“Owner-operators told us they want their best load matches readily visible, without having to open their phone,” said Christian Greiner, general manager of DAT’s carrier segment. “The DAT One iOS widget helps them find their next load at a glance.”

Key Features:

According to DAT, the widget includes several functions designed to speed up the load-search process:

  • Live load matches: Displays top-paying results and allows users to call brokers directly without navigating through multiple screens.
  • Relevant results: Uses saved search preferences such as equipment type, location, and search radius to display the most relevant loads.
  • Automatic refresh: Updates load matches every five minutes.
  • One-tap broker contact: Drivers can call or email the broker directly from the widget.

Part of the DAT One Ecosystem

The widget works with the DAT One mobile app, which provides access to DAT’s load board along with rate data and trip-planning tools.

DAT said iPhone users can add the widget by pressing and holding the home screen, tapping Edit, selecting Add Widget, and choosing the DAT One widget from the list. Carriers can then drag it onto their home screen to display load matches at a glance.
