Agility Fuel Systems and fuel infrastructure provider Clean Energy Fuels will begin offering a sales program to reduce the cost of oeprating heavy-duty natural gas trucks using compressed natural gas (CNG).
Under the program, Agility and Clean Energy will offer trucking customers CNG fuel systems installed at a substantially reduced cost under terms of a natural gas fueling supply agreement.
"Our goal is to give heavy-duty natural gas truckers a 'diesel-like' experience, which means it is as easy to buy, fuel and use with the added benefit of using cleaner and less expensive natural gas," said Barry Engle, Agility's CEO.
Clean Energy continues to add locations to its network of natural gas fueling stations for truckers.
"Reducing the upfront cost of switching to natural gas is critical for America's trucking industry," said Brett Lindsay, a Clean Energy regional vice president. "Our fuel system sales program with Agility addresses this issue directly to help fleet operators make the switch to natural gas."
