XATA Gets $4 Million Investment Infusion

XATA Corp., Minneapolis, Minn., has announced a $4-million investment by Trident Capital, a premier private equity firm focusing on information services and enterprise software.

XATA is a long-time supplier of on-board computers and operations software for private fleets.
XATA said the capital will fund expansion of product development, distribution and marketing efforts to the 3.5 million medium and heavy duty trucks operated by commercial private fleets in the U.S.
According to XATA, its systems are use on more than 30,000 trucks at over 1,000 distribution centers across North America.
