David L. Sharpe from Montpelier, IN, was honored for driving more than 2.5 million accident-free miles. Sharpe has driven for McCammon Trucking of Hartford City, IN, for 24 years.
Darrell McCammon, owner of McCammon Trucking said, "Dave is a good influence on his fellow drivers, they all like to run with him. Very few drivers ever drive 2.5 million accident-free miles in a lifetime and Dave has done this in 24 years."
When Sharpe is not driving his truck, he races cars. For 10 years, Sharpe has raced cars - his favorite spot is at the Montpelier Speedway. He has also driven the ambulance for the Montpelier EMS in his spare time.
