Telematics companies will integrate Allison transmission data into their systems to give fleets a more efficient fleet management experience. Through the integrations, Allison will provide insight into over 170 different transmission conditions to help fleet management and maintenance staff diagnose issues and improve uptime.
Refuse, construction, and pickup-and-delivery trucks are among the vocations that will benefit from the upcoming connected capabilities, according to Allison. In addition to this initial deployment, Allison stated that it would continue to work with original equipment manufacturers and additional TSPs to expand support to more vocations and global regions.
“We are committed to enhancing our intelligent products and supporting a connected future that enables our customers to monitor and manage their fleet operations with relevant information in near real-time,” said John Coll, senior vice president of global marketing, sales, and service for Allison. “Allison wants to ensure fleet managers have relevant and actionable information about the health and performance of their Allison transmissions.”
