Allison to Offer Transmission Health Data Through Telematics Providers

Allison Transmissions has partnered with multiple telematics service providers to offer transmission health information by the end of the year.

Telematics companies will integrate Allison transmission data into their systems to give fleets a more efficient fleet management experience. Through the integrations, Allison will provide insight into over 170 different transmission conditions to help fleet management and maintenance staff diagnose issues and improve uptime.

Refuse, construction, and pickup-and-delivery trucks are among the vocations that will benefit from the upcoming connected capabilities, according to Allison. In addition to this initial deployment, Allison stated that it would continue to work with original equipment manufacturers and additional TSPs to expand support to more vocations and global regions.
