Unlike bypass programs that require dedicated transponders in every truck, the Drivewyze PreClear service works through a hands-free smartphone app or in-cab equipment to deliver an automated bypass solution for all inspection sites. Using this approach, Drivewyze PreClear brings bypass opportunities to temporary mobile inspection sites as well as local, low-volume and remote weigh stations and ports of entry.
Drivewyze PreClear can be accessed on iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones, and in the near future, on in-cab equipment and other devices.
The service is available immediately in Connecticut, Kentucy, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia, with several more states and Canadian provinces coming soon.
"Interstate commercial vehicle bypass programs are a proven way to save large fleets millions of dollars in fuel costs and provide time-savings for long-haul shippers, while helping law enforcement focus on high-risk vehicles travelling the highways," said Brian Heath, president of Drivewyze Inc.
To introduce the new service, Drivewyze is offering a no-charge test drive program to all qualified subscribers now through Nov. 1. The Drivewyzeapp for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry is available from www.drivewyze.com or from the app stores.
