Trail King Industries appointed Joe Kolb as president of the trailer manufacturer, replacing Bruce Yakley, who will transition to the role of chief executive officer.
Yakley has been the president of Trail King for the past six years and will focus on serving Trail King’s customers as well as developing employees and strategic growth initiatives as CEO.
Kolb will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. He began his career with CC Industries (which bought Trail King in 2010) in 2005 as the director of strategic sourcing. In 2011, he was promoted to the vice president of supply chain at Trail King.
“Joe has proven to be a consummate leader with a keen customer focus. He is uniquely qualified to lead and continue to grow the organization,” said Yakley. “Our sights continue to be set on manufacturing the highest quality trailers, exceeding dealer and customer expectations, and making Trail King the Dakotas’ employer of choice.”
Prior to Trail King, Kolb held leadership positions at Bain & Company as well as Maytag and Skil-Bosch. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University. Additionally, he served in the Illinois Air National Guard for 11 years.
