Summit Holdings has completed the acquisition of commercial truck and IC Bus dealership group, Truck Center, Inc.

Truck Center has two locations in Mississippi in the cities of Tupelo and Pontotoc. With this acquisition, Summit Holdings now operates 31 locations the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

“This is the first acquisition for Summit Holdings and it is part of our long-term growth strategy,” said Blair Roberts, CEO of Summit. “Truck Center, Inc. is a well-respected organization in both the commercial truck industry and the Tupelo and Pontotoc communities.”

Truck Center will now operate under the name Summit Truck Group and the company’s former CFO, Glynn Franklin, will serve as the general manager of the two locations. Truck Center represents International, IC Bus and Ford commercial vehicles, as well as Idealease leasing and rental services.

Summit Holdings was formed through the merger of Diamond Companies and Roberts Truck Center dealerships in October of last year.
