Kenworth and Truck Enterprises Inc. Join Forces

Truck Enterprises, Inc. has now joined the Kenworth family. This expansion adds eight Kenworth truck dealerships located in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia to the existing 23 locations in seven states currently operated by the company.

Class 3-8 Sales See Drop Year-Over-Year

According to data recently released by Wards Intelligence, the sale of Class 3-8 trucks have seen a drop in almost every category, and every month, since the beginning of the year, possibly exasperated by the COVID-19 outbreak.

June Class 8 Net Orders See Upturn

According to ACT Research, June’s preliminary North American Class 8 net orders rose 139% over May with 16,000 units. Compared to last June, orders were also up by 23%.

ACT, FTR Report Drop in Class 8 Orders

Preliminary reports from both ACT Research and FTR show that North American Class 8 orders for February fell 18-20% from January. Both reported a total drop of 14,100 units.

January Class 8, Medium-Duty Truck Orders Dip

North American Class 8 orders for January are down month over month but up year over year, according to both FTR and ACT Research. Following a consistent trend over the last four months of averages of 19,000 trucks, January totals dropped to 17,700 units. ACT reports show a similar drop in medium-duty.
