Q. What types of trends do you see with air suspensions in the future?
As more equipment is added to the truck or trailer to meet new regulations, the overall vehicle weight continues to be a prominent factor...
A. Rebound straps are available in single or dual configurations with hardware. Dual Rebound Straps must be used with outrigger or 52K applications. Wheel removal is not required for rebound strap replacement which saves time and money on the maintenance. Clock the front wheels of the vehicle for easy access. If the PLS is in contact with the equalizing beam saddle, the vehicle frame will need to be raised slightly to create a gap to facilitate rebound strap replacement.
IMPORTANT: Rebound straps MUST be installed with the sewn area facing outboard. Failure to do so will result in premature wear of the rebound strap.
If equipped with dual rebound straps and only one rebound strap on an equalizing beam shows sign of damage or excessive wear, Hendrickson recommends both dual rebound straps installed on that equalizing beam be replaced.
