Bridgestone, Yokohama Announce Price Increase

Both Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations and Yokohama Tire Corp. recently announced they will be increasing tire prices.

Firestone-brand truck and bus radial tires will see increases starting on November 1, while select Yokohama commercial truck and bus tires increase will begin on December 1. According to Bridgestone, the average increase across the Firestone TBR portfolio with be 5%, but some tire prices will increase by up to 8%. Prices for Yokohama drive, all-position/steer and trailer tires will increase up to 6%.

"The price changes reflect current market conditions, including rising production and transportation costs," the company says, adding that its commercial sales team is contacting customers "to provide more detailed information."
