West Brothers Transfer and Storage, H&S Divisions, a 55-year-old North Carolina-based trucking company, is selling its LTL division to Milan Express of Milan, Tenn.
The sale of the LTL division to Milan Express completes a business migration plan of CEO/co-owner Tommy West and CFO/co-owner Craig West. "We have been moving toward our core competencies of dedicated contract trucking and warehouse logistic services for the past five years," said Tommy West.
According to Craig West, the rapid growth of West Brothers warehousing, brokerage and dedicated contract trucking operations allowed the company to move forward with the sale of the LTL division. Milan Express had been looking for an opportunity to establish a presence in the Carolinas.
West Brothers dedicated trucking and public warehousing operations in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte and Greensboro, N.C. and in Greer, S.C., plus several West Brothers service centers, continue to handle dedicated services.
