Werner Enterprises Inc., Omaha, Neb., said its board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 3.5 cents per common share payable to stockholders of record on July 6, 2004.

This dividend is a $.01 per share, or 40%, increase over the company's previous quarterly dividend rate of 2.5 cents per share. This dividend will be paid on July 20, 2004.
Werner Enterprises is currently in its eighteenth year of paying quarterly cash dividends on its common stock to its stockholders. The company paid the first quarterly cash dividend in July 1987.
