Heavy Duty Trucking magazine is hosting an upcoming free webinar to help fleets better understand the enforcement of the electronic logging device mandate and provide best practices for compliance.
The webinar, “ELD Enforcement: Untangling Common Misconceptions & Compliance Best Practices,” will take place on Sept. 19 at 2:00 PM EDT / 11:00 AM PDT. HDT Editor-in-Chief Deborah Lockridge will lead a discussion between Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration enforcement official Joseph DeLorenzo, and Jerad Childress an attorney at Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, to offer deeper insight into the ELD Rule.
Whether you’re in the process of transitioning from an automatic onboard recording device, considering changing providers or doing your level best to stay in compliance, the ELD rule remains a challenge for motor carriers.
Key takeaways from the discussion will include a technical analysis of ELDs, why ELD training shouldn’t be overlooked by fleets, the three biggest enforcement issues, and why ELDs are not a solution for hours-of-service compliance.
