Walcott Truckers Jamboree Kicks Off This Week

The 34th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be held July 11-13 at Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa, with a Super Truck Beauty Contest, antique truck display, Iowa pork chops and two free concerts.

Iowa 80 Truckstop’s 34th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree will kick off this week on July 11 for three full days of everything trucking. 

The Super Truck Beauty Contest is one of the highlights of the Iowa-80 annual event.

The event will feature nearly 175 exhibits; a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display; Iowa pork chop cookout; Trucker Olympics; carnival games; two free concerts: Lindsay Lawler on July 11 courtesy of Cat Scale and Blackberry Smoke on July 12 presented by Mobil Delvac; and a fireworks display.

Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.

The first Walcott Truckers Jamboree only attracted a few hundred people in 1979 and featured a few exhibits, live music, food and a small display of antique trucks. Today, the Walcott Truckers Jamboree attracts approximately 30,000 attendees.

The 34th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree, will be held July 11-13 at Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa.
