Viking Freight Inc. has expanded its Canada service to include the convenience of through rate quotes and through tracing via the Internet.

Shippers can now receive rate quotes, custom or full class, for freight moving to or from Canada and trace shipments from origin to their final Canadian destination at www.vikingfreight.com.
Viking reportedly ensures shippers receive expedited customs clearance by using PARS, Canada's Pre Arrival Review System. PARS clearance is said to reduce border delays and improve transit times for deliveries.
Viking sends the bar-coded shipping paperwork to the shipper's designated Canadian customs broker while the shipment is enroute to the border, a step which allows Canada Customs to clear the shipment in advance. When the driver arrives at the Canadian border with the
original export documentation, the customs agent scans the bar code on the documents, sees the "Cleared" status on his computer and allows the driver to cross into Canada.
