After a brief hiatus in September, the used truck market appears to moving in the right direction, as Class 8 unit sales improved 6% month-over-month.
The update on the used market was reported in the latest release of the State of the Industry: U.S. Classes 3-8 Used Trucks, published by ACT Research.
"Pricing continues to be the primary topic of interest in the industry," said Steve Tam, vice president, Commercial Vehicle Sector with ACT.
"Total reported Class 8 trucks sold in October saw a modest increase over September and also remained positive year-to-date. However, year-over-year pricing experienced a meaningful decline."
