USA Truck, Van Buren, Ark., announced the promotion of several key officers to new positions, effective Feb. 1.

Jerry D. Orler will move from Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer to President. Orler has been with the company for more than 13 years and has served has served in his current position since January 1989. The position of President is currently held by Robert M. Powell, who is also the Chairman of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer. Powell will remain as the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer.
To fill the vacancy left by Orler's promotion, Cliff Beckham will move from his current position as Director of Finance to Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Beckham has been with the company for more than seven years and is currently serving as Director of Finance, Secretary and Treasurer. He will continue to serve as Secretary and Treasurer.
The company also announced that Rusty Jacobs will retire on Feb. 1 and that Garry Lewis will assume the position of Vice President - Operations. Lewis has been with the company for more than 18 years and has 25 years of operations experience.
Eric Olsen will assume the position of Vice President, Human Resources and Safety. Olsen has been with the company for two years and has more than 25 years of human resources and safety experience.
