On Friday, three truck drivers were pelted with rocks while driving along the 401 near Woodstock, Ontario.
All three drivers were able to bring their transports to a safe stop, even though one driver had been hit by a rock after it smashed through the windshield. That driver was treated at the hospital and released.
The Ontario Trucking Association is offering an additional $1,000 towards the efforts of Crime Stoppers to apprehend the individuals involved.
The incident took place on Highway 401 at the east side of the City of Woodstock boarding Blandford-Blenheim Township at the approximate 242 mile marker. The area was searched by the Oxford County OPP with the help of an OPP Canine Unit without success. Three males were observed on top of the overpass at the time of this incident.
Anyone who observed people or vehicles on or at the overpass at this time period or has information on this incident, are asked to contact either the Oxford County OPP at 519-688-6540 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
