Atlanta-based Transit Group has agreed to acquire its 19th company - Fox Midwest Transport of Green Bay, WI, along with its affiliate Shippers Distribution Services.
Fox Midwest is a regional, medium-haul truckload carrier with 300 power units and about 1,000 trailers. Some of those power units are owner-operator trucks. It started in 1983 with only three tractor units. The company has expanded every year, with an impressive record of growth in revenue, employees and equipment.
Transit Group began consolidating trucking companies about two years ago.
