TMC Issues Updated Recommended Practices Manual

The 2014 edition of TMC's Recommended Practice manual is now available for purchase in print or electronic media in either single-user or multi-user versions.

The two-volume set features TMC’s Recommended Maintenance Practices Manual and Recommended Engineering Practices Manual, and includes more than 40 new, revised or reissued Recommended Practices adopted by TMC as of May 2014. The combined manual features more than 3,100 pages of technical information that represents the consensus and collective industry experience of Council members.

“This is one of the trucking industry’s best resources for truck maintenance, testing and specification information,” said Carl Kirk, vice president of maintenance, information technology & logistics of American Trucking Associations. “This latest version includes important updates to existing recommended practices and adds numerous new ones that cover the latest technologies and provide for improved efficiencies and safety for fleets, big and small.”

All current TMC members will receive a copy of the single-user version of the RP Manual CD-ROM as a member benefit. Members also have access to the Recommended Practices collection online through the Council’s collaborative work and social networking platform — TMC Connect.

Others may purchase the single- or multi-user versions by calling the ATA Business Solutions at 866-821-3468 or 703-838-1700. Print versions of the RP manual are also available.
