Terex Recalls Concrete Mixer Trucks for Steering
The recall affects 288 vehicles at risk for steering problems related to faulty gear pumps.

Terex is recalling 288 2011-2015 model-year FD4000B, FD5000D, FD6000B and FD7000B concrete mixer trucks because of potential steering problems, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
The trucks at issue -- manufactured from Jan. 1, 2011, to Sept. 1 of this year – all have steerable tag axles operated by Eaton Hydraulics S26 gear pumps. These gear pumps may unexpectedly fail, reducing the driver's ability to properly steer the vehicle, NHTSA said.
Terex dealers will replace the S26 gear pumps, free of charge, to resolve the problem. Truck owners can reach Terex customer service at (800) 433-6691.
