SkyBitz Adds Six Customer Fleets

SkyBitz Inc., Dulles, Va., announced that six fleets recently committed to using the company’s satellite-based trailer tracking system.
Among the new SkyBitz customers are Continental Express Inc., Seagate Transportation Services Inc. and Pegasus Transportation Group Inc.
Continental Express Inc. has equipped 1,500 dry van trailers with SkyBitz’s GLS (Global Locating System) technology, which requires less power than most GPS devices.
The SkyBitz announcement said the company now has more than 60 customer fleets.
“Recently among fleets we’ve seen a fundamental shift in focus from technology purchases for the tractor to the trailer,” said SkyBitz spokesperson Roni Taylor.
