Rocor Violated Leasing Regs, Judge Says
After being hit with two lawsuits filed by the Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association, Oklahoma City-based Rocor International has been found in violation of federal leasing regulations by an Oklahoma district court
After being hit with two lawsuits filed by the Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association, Oklahoma City-based Rocor International has been found in violation of federal leasing regulations by an Oklahoma district court.
A case filed against Rocor in June 1998 by OOIDA questioned the company’s coverage of owner-operators under its self-insured Workers Compensation Insurance program, as well as whether or not they charged owner-operators for the coverage and violated federal truth-in-leasing regulations.
A second case, filed in March of this year, involves certain actions pertaining to Rocor’s ROCLease program, but a ruling has yet to be issued.
A phone call from Truckinginfo.com to Rocor International for comment on the lawsuits was not returned.
