Roadway Express Introduces Freight Security Service
Roadway Express Inc. has introduced its Roadway Sealed Divider service for shippers who have special security needs for any size shipment, or want their freight to receive more secure packing and extra protection during transit
Roadway Express Inc. has introduced its Roadway Sealed Divider service for shippers who have special security needs for any size shipment, or want their freight to receive more secure packing and extra protection during transit.
Roadway Sealed Divider provides a secure less-than-truckload shipping environment for a customer's freight. The new service offers dedicated shipment protection and peace of mind to customers as well as a shield against the normal rigors of freight handling.
For complete protection, two tamper-proof rod locks secure a customized barrier within the trailer from pickup to destination. This product minimizes handling and eliminates co-mingling of freight.
According to Bill Michael, vice president of marketing for Roadway Express, "Roadway Sealed Divider fits nicely in Roadway's niche products that are developed to address specific shipping needs that our customers face, such as fragile freight or heightened concerns about homeland security. Roadway Sealed Divider provides a cost-effective means for customers to obtain added protection within a dedicated space inside the trailer."
