These appointments complete the reorganization of Roadrunner’s executive management team, a transition that began in January 2014 with the promotion of van Helden to COO, according to the company. With the promotion of McKay and Charlebois, the addition of Crawford, and the previously announced appointment of Mark Peterson to executive vice president of sales in June, the company’s executive management team now has seven members. Other executive officers are Mark DiBlasi, president and CEO; Peter Armbruster, CFO; and van Helden.

“This announcement is a significant milestone in the company’s history and reflects the substantial growth we have experienced over the past several years, both through acquisitions and organic growth,” said DiBlasi. Our executive management team is positioned to continue driving the company forward as we work to become a leading multi-billion dollar transportation provider."

As president of LTL, Crawford is responsible for leading all operations within the segment as it continues to expand throughout North America. Crawford was most recently an officer at FedEx Freight, serving as vice president of international operations. During his 23-year career with FedEx, Crawford held various leadership positions, including vice president and general manager for FedEx Freight Canada and managing director of regional operations for FedEx Freight East.

McKay joined Roadrunner in 2012 as president of truckload services. In his new role, he will assume responsibility for the entire truckload segment, which includes overseeing Roadrunner’s Intermodal Solutions group. Additionally, he will continue to lead all Roadrunner truckload companies. Prior to joining Roadrunner, McKay served in various management roles at Schneider National, concluding with general manager of operations in the van truckload segment. McKay also had a 16-year career with FedEx Ground, leading up to his appointment as division managing director, where he was responsible for overseeing the Home Delivery unit for the southeastern third of the United States.

Charlebois most recently served as president of freight consolidation and inventory management for Roadrunner. He joined the company in 2011 as president of Prime Distribution Services, the warehouse and consolidation division of Roadrunner. Prime is a third-party logistics provider specializing in providing national distribution programs to the retail industry. In his new role, Charlebois is responsible for overseeing the entire TMS segment, which is comprised of leading companies including Group Transportation Services, Marisol International and the company’s most recent acquisition, Unitrans International. Prior to joining Roadrunner, Charlebois held a number of leadership positions over 17 years with FedEx Ground, including managing director roles. Prior to FedEx Ground, he held senior leadership positions with Cardinal Health and Ikon Office Solutions.
