Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake will offer 17 in-person training sessions in 2016 in 14 different states.

Registration is open for the complete schedule, which begins on March 22 in Owosso, Mich., and wraps up in late October. Bendix says it has been offering technician education and support through training programs for more than 50 years.

During the school’s three-day session, technicians learn the description, operation and service for the entire range of Bendix foundation and air brake system components. The curriculum provides only authorized training in Bendix products and services such as Bendix brand air disc brakes, anti-lock braking systems, SmarTire tire pressure monitoring systems, electronic stability control, and the Bendix Wingman Advanced collision mitigation system.

"Up-to-date operational and service knowledge is a vital part of improving fleet and highway safety,” said Lance Hansen, North America regional vice president of fleet, trailer and service engineering at Bendix. “It’s crucial that both new and experienced technicians alike have opportunities to study at the leading edge of today’s ever-evolving technologies.”

Bendix Service Engineering Team members who conduct the sessions are ASE-certified professionals who collectively represent 175 years of commercial vehicle service and troubleshooting experience, the company says. The Service Engineering Team was previously known as the Bendix Service, Warranty, and Training team.
