By using the PeopleNet Display.4 and TMWSuite, Quality can leverage PeopleNet’s Activity Standards, fault code monitoring, mandatory eDVIR vehicle inspections, onboard event recording, SpeedGauge speed monitoring, and VUSION fuel-tax analytics.

“We have diligently worked with PeopleNet to integrate its fleet mobility technology into our fleet of bulk tank trucks,” said Cliff Dixon, Vice President of IT at Quality Distribution. “We look forward to realizing the benefits of PeopleNet’s MPG Improvement Program, gaining more visibility to onboard events, and increased safety.”

Bryan Coyne, PeopleNet’s Vice President of National Account Sales, noted that the company is “excited to continue working with Quality, providing them with the excellent customer service and technical support they have come to expect from PeopleNet.”

Tampa-based Quality Distribution pointed out that through Quality Carriers it operates the largest chemical bulk logistics network in North America and that it is the largest North American provider of intermodal tank container and depot services through its Boasso America Corporation subsidiary.

The deal was announced this week at the National Tank Truck Carriers annual conference in Boston.
