Prime Inc., a leading international refrigerated, flatbed and liquid bulk truckload carrier headquartered in Springfield, Mo., has announced the purchase of Salt Lake City-based C.H. Dredge & Co.
Prime Inc., a leading international refrigerated, flatbed and liquid bulk truckload carrier headquartered in Springfield, Mo., has announced the purchase of Salt Lake City-based C.H. Dredge & Co.
The sale was the result of the approval of U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Illinois.
"This company is a perfect complement to our current business model and corporate culture," said Robert Low, president of Prime. "It significantly strengthens our regional presence in a vital area of the country."
Dredge, which was founded in 1935, was operating 65 company trucks, primarily throughout the western half of the country.
"The Dredge fleet will be incorporated into our existing fleet and operated as CHD Regional, a division of Prime Inc.," Low said.
