They are protesting “unfair labor practices, including harassment, intimidation, and other violations of Federal labor laws,” according to the group Justice for Port Drivers, including retaliation by employers for trying to join the Teamsters Union.
The drivers work for Green Fleet Systems, Pac 9 Transportation and American Logistics International and are considered independent contractors by the company while the drivers say they should be classified as employees.
